Resident Liaisons are 616 residents—just like you—who live in your building. These outgoing individuals are there to serve their resident communities by making friendly introductions, keeping you up-to-date on what’s happening in your building and by being a general resource to the city.
You could think of your Resident Liaison as a mix between a city tour guide, an RA and an all-around great neighbor.
If you’re new to the 616 community, be sure to touch base with your Resident Liaison and let them get you connected.
Meet and greet – Once you’re moved in, our local Liaison will come and introduce themselves, make sure you’re settled, see if there’s anything you need and—if you’re game—set up a coffee date. So when you hear a knock on your door on your second day downtown, that’s just us welcoming you to the community.
Walking tour – If you’re not familiar with downtown Grand Rapids, our Liaisons will be happy to give you a walking tour to point out the best spots for food, drinks, necessities, exercise—whatever.
Endless cups of sugar – Well, maybe not endless, but you get the point. If you need anything or have any questions, drop a question on our 616 Facebook group page or give your Liaison a shout.
Another important role Resident Liaisons play is giving feedback to management on issues that could use improvement, event opportunities, etc. We rely on our Liaisons to be the “eyes and ears” of our communities to make sure our residents are having the best living experience possible. That means they’re always scouting new partnership opportunities with local businesses for our 616 Pass and listening to what residents have to say.
If you have a suggestion for improving your experience at 616 Lofts, bend the ear of one of our Liaisons (and you’re always welcome to contact us directly, of course).
